This is where you can find out how Caya LLC ("Caya", "we", "us", "our", "the App") collects, stores, protects, and shares data about you ("Policy"). It's best read alongside our Caya Terms and Conditions.
When you use our mobile application and online platform ("App"), we collect certain information about you. You may also choose to share information with other users ("Users") globally, including within CAYA Spaces (our community chat and discussion forums). This Policy is intended to meet our obligations of transparency under applicable data protection laws.
Collection of Information
Registration Information
Access to Caya is provided through your Apple account, Google account, or email address.
If you connect through Apple or Google, we may collect:
• email address
• full name
• unique account ID
If you permit it, the App may also access:
• geolocation
• contacts or address book
AI Interaction Data
When you interact with CAYA's AI-powered features ("CAYA AI"), we collect and process the content you submit, including messages, prompts, and any information you choose to share ("AI Interaction Data").
This data is used to:
• generate responses tailored to your needs
• provide support, recommendations, and guidance
• improve the performance, safety, and quality of CAYA AI
AI Interaction Data may include personal information if you choose to share it. You should avoid sharing sensitive personal information (including identifiable information about your children) unless you are comfortable with it being processed in accordance with this Policy.
CAYA AI is not a substitute for professional care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or safety concern, you should contact a qualified professional or emergency services immediately.
Selfie Data
During onboarding, we may ask you to take a selfie to create your profile and help prevent fraudulent or duplicate accounts. Images may be reviewed by automated systems or, in limited cases, by our team.
Log and Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you use the App, including:
• IP address
• device type and identifiers
• browser type
• pages visited
• access times
Marketing and Communications Data
We collect your preferences regarding marketing communications.
Behavioral Data
We may infer interests or preferences based on your activity in the App to improve your experience.
Your Content Data
You may post content, send messages, or participate in conversations within the App, including within CAYA Spaces. This may include personal data that you choose to share.
This includes:
• posts and messages in community Spaces
• direct or group conversations with other users
• content shared with CAYA AI
This content may be processed to:
• enable communication between users
• display content within Spaces
• improve safety, moderation, and user experience
• improve our services, including AI functionality
Content shared in CAYA Spaces may be visible to other users and may not be fully private or recoverable once shared.
Aggregated Data
We may use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics, research, and product improvement.
Sensitive Data
We do not intentionally collect "Special Categories of Personal Data" (such as health, political beliefs, etc.). However, you may choose to share such information voluntarily in conversations, including in CAYA Spaces or with CAYA AI.
Please do not share sensitive information unless you are comfortable with it being processed.
Uses Made of the Information
We use your data to:
• provide and operate the App
• create and manage your account
• enable interactions with other users, including within CAYA Spaces
• display and facilitate conversations and community interactions
• improve product features and user experience
• maintain safety, moderation, and community standards
• send service-related communications
• provide marketing communications (where permitted)
• ensure security and fraud prevention
• power and improve CAYA AI, including generating responses, personalizing your experience, and improving accuracy, relevance, and safety

Use of Artificial Intelligence
CAYA includes features powered by artificial intelligence ("CAYA AI") designed to provide support, information, and guidance.
How CAYA AI Works

• aggregated and generalized patterns
Responses are generated automatically and are not reviewed in real time by a human.
Limitations
CAYA AI:
• may produce incomplete or inaccurate responses
• is not a substitute for professional advice
• should not be relied on for medical, legal, or mental health decisions
Always seek qualified professionals when needed.
Improving CAYA AI
We may use AI Interaction Data and usage data to:
• improve system performance
• enhance personalization
• develop new features
Where possible, we take steps to aggregate or de-identify data.
We do not use your personal data to train generalized AI models for third parties.
Data Retention for AI
AI Interaction Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide and improve our services, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

We may receive data from third-party platforms used for registration (e.g., Apple, Google).
Disclosure of Your Information

AI Service Providers
We use OpenAI and may use other third-party providers (e.g., hosting or model providers) to support AI functionality. When you use CAYA AI, your messages, prompts, conversation context, generated responses, and related usage data may be shared with OpenAI so OpenAI can process the request and return an AI-generated response to CAYA. These providers may process user inputs and outputs solely to provide services to CAYA and are contractually required to protect your data.

Legal & Regulatory Authorities
Where required by law or to protect safety.

What Others See About You
Other users may see:

Content shared in Spaces may be visible to multiple users and should not be considered private.
Avoid sharing sensitive or identifiable information about your children.
Age Policy
You must be at least 18 to use the App.
Removing Access
You may disconnect Apple/Google accounts at any time.
Deleting your account may not remove content already shared with others, including in CAYA Spaces.
Your Rights
You may:
